(Please Note: You will receive one of the box sets above with all 8 DVD's inside)
We start the course in the classroom and on DVD 1 we go through what to expect followed by talking about the wedding industry in general. Later, we go into great detail about what equipment you will need as well as what we would recommend to become more efficient. We finish this DVD running through planning and preparation and its importance to your business.
Back in the classroom again, we now cover the entire wedding day in more detail. We go through everything from the bride getting ready to the reception and first dance and then study images taken from real weddings to further illustrate what we have learned. Lastly, we cover camera and flash settings needed and recommended thoughout the wedding day.
Last day in the classroom and we go into some of the finer details of shooting weddings. Starting with video, we introduce the concept of a wedding photographer weaving video clips into his work and slideshows. Can this secure more jobs and ultimately lead to more business or is it a waste of time? Next we cover lighting with a low light tutorial and sample photos finishing with video editing and slideshow software.
For DVD 4, we head out on location to a stately home in Dorset where we cover the bride getting ready in a real time environment. We go through using flash, natural light, salvaging poor images, the dress and portraits. A lot to take in here so maybe take some notes before we head out again in DVD 5. Please note that this is DVD 1 from the original set, we couldn't better the location or information so decided to keep it in.
More location lessons here as we head off to a large, local church where we discuss all the issues that come with shooting the main ceremony on the day including low light and camera and flash settings. Next we head back to the hotel where we shoot in a civil ceremony environment, followed by special portraits and group shots in various locations along the beach in Weymouth, Dorset.
The last of the location DVD's sees us in a grand reception venue, the ballroom of a local hotel which is fully kitted out and ready for a real wedding later that day. Again, we go through camera settings, the cake shot, the speeches, the first dance, a bit of Photoshop all finished off with a review of a real wedding that was shot with both stills and extensive video coverage.
Back in the classroom again for business training. Here we cover the fundamentals of starting, building and expanding your wedding photography business. We go through many different and useful topics such as networking, branding and marketing, advertising, websites, social media, press releases, portfolios, wedding fairs and of course, pricing.
The bonus DVD has some really useful information and resources. To start with, you have 3 interesting interviews with industry professionals and a wedding couple who spill the beans on why they made the choices they did for recording their own wedding day. Some valuable insights from all these people that should help your business. Plus you also get 5 eBooks to read at your leisure with an optional 6 months free access to our private membership site!
"All going well here. Had a productive first wedding season with 12 weddings all in all and quite a few booked for next year. It's been a very enjoyable learning curve and something I wouldn't have been able to start on without your excellent course! - Clive Nolan"
"Just wanted to say thanks. I got the DVD course at the end of last year in preparation for a friends wedding. I gave them the photos last week and they are absolutely thrilled. Definitely could not have done it without your help. The basic camera setting you recommend in the DVD was worth the price on it's own. I didn't get a single badly exposed shot " - Lee Brookes, UK."
"Nick, Thank you very much. I purchased your Wedding Blueprint last year. Last Saturday, I did my first wedding. I used a lot of your tips and everything went better than planned. Thank you, your DVD's gave me the confidence I needed to do the job. The photos turned out better than I could of expected. Now all I can think of is, Roll on wedding number two, three,......etc etc. - Mick Lumley, IRELAND "
"I am so glad that I got that problem with PayPal sorted. I received the discs a few days later and all I want to say is "Wow, probably the best tutorials I have ever bought". The professionalism of the videos, the way it then cuts to show the result in Photoshop is awesome. You've a great manner and no ego and I can see you really want to get it across to your students. - T.H. Dublin."
